The FMG Young Farmer of the Year is thrilled to announce New Zealand's most trusted rain and work wear clothing company Betacraft will be adorning all competitors in their high quality apparel.

The Beatson family owned and operated company that was established in the 1950s in Palmerston North, is the newest sponsor to sign on to New Zealand's most prestigious agricultural contest.

Contest chairperson Dean Rabbidge said he was delighted Betacraft had joined the family of sponsors, particularly because the company reflected the core values of NZ Young Farmers and the FMG Young Farmer of the Year.

"With four generations involved in the company and their integrity and strong relationships within the Primary Industry and Young Farmers, Betacraft reflects the prestige and mana in which our Contest is held and we couldn't be happier to have them partner with us."

Betacraft sales and marketing manager Arne Beatson said his family were thrilled to be partnering with New Zealand’s ultimate rural challenge.

“We see the partnership as a fantastic opportunity to connect with the outstanding young farming talent this country boasts!”

The thriving company operate a state of the art factory, and head office in Pahiatua in the Wairarapa, and have a reputation for leading the way in high visibility industry work wear.

Their family success story has seen them manufacture rain and work wear for over 60 years and while fabrics and production techniques may have changed in that time, Betacraft's commitment to producing the highest quality apparel including fleece and casual wear has kept it at the forefront of the market.

With leading brands including Techniflex, Technidairy, ISO940 and Drover are the clothing of choice for many New Zealanders and will be worn with pride by the seven magnificent finalists who make it the FMG Young Farmer of the Year Grand Final in the Manawatu in July.
